SibMed is one of the few institutions in Russia that has its own multidisciplinary
university hospital. This affects the teaching staff and student body to a large
extent. The teaching staff consists of 80% of specialists with academic degrees and
titles and 50% practicing doctors. Its students have a unique opportunity to apply
the knowledge gained in the classroom at the clinics. What is more, the university
hospital is not only the place where research and education is conducted but also it
welcomes more than 100 thousand patients from all over Russia annually.

In addition to the multidisciplinary hospital, SibMed students can receive training
at the modern simulation center, which is one of the two centers in the Russian
Federation that has received accreditation by the European Society for Simulation
in Medicine (SESAM).

The Research Library of the Siberian State Medical University is the only publicly
accessible medical library in the Tomsk Region, the largest specialized library in
Siberia. It is regarded to be the best library in Russia among medical universities
under the annual libraries ranking compiled by the Academy of Evidence-Based
Medicine in 2016.

In 2015 SibMed became the first medical university in Russia to be accredited by
the Skolkovo Technopark.
