Tambov State Technical University (TSTU) is considered to be one of the most prestigious educational institutions in the Central Region of Russia. The University was founded in 1958. More than 50,000 specialists have been trained at TSTU. Many University graduates head large industrial enterprises, work for administrative authorities, including the federal government.
TSTU is an expert in engineering education, especially in chemical engineering,electrical and electronic engineering, information technologies. More than 70 professors work at the University now. The University involves qualified experts from other universities and research institutions.

Many international students from Europe, Asia, Africa and America study at TSTU (there are students from 50 countries). Since 1994 more than 2,000 international students have studied at the University.
One of the key directions of TSTU international activity is training of international students.
The Faculty of International Education was founded in 1994. The main objectives of the Faculty are integrated adaptation of foreign citizens to training at the Russian universities; providing pre-university training; collaboration with TSTU faculties on organisation of training of international undergraduates, trainees, and postgraduates; creating favourable conditions for accommodation and training.
